Steps

Brown ground beef in a large Dutch oven, drain fat

Add onion and garlic, cook until softened

Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, and oregano

Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, and 1/2 cup water

Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes

Add beans and brown sugar, simmer 15 more minutes

Taste, adjust heat with cayenne, serve with all the toppings
